Pricing Guide

Consultations

An hour-long consultation is standard for new patients with chronic health complaints or existing patients with a new illness that may require a Chronic Illness Management Plan.

Our minimum consultation time is half an hour to recheck an existing condition we’re working on.   However, sometimes, a 15-minute consultation may be all that is required; this will be at Dr Gillian's discretion.

A first visit to The Naked Vet with an hour-long consultation for a chronic health condition is $300, including a 15-minute follow-up telehealth consultation.

A revisit consultation of half an hour duration is $150.

A short consultation of 15 minutes duration will be charged at the rate of $75 per 15 minutes or part thereof.

House calls are charged at the same rate as an in-clinic consultation; however, there will be an additional $2.20 per kilometre return trip to our West Ipswich consulting rooms.  If you are unsure of any travel charges, please contact us directly for an estimate of costs.

Telehealth (telephone or video) consultations are also charged at the same rate as an in-clinic consultation and must be prepaid for at the time of booking.

Titre Testing and Vaccines

Titre Testing is the standard procedure for all adult animals before administering any vaccine to a pet at The Naked Vet.  A titre test and  30-minute consultation with Dr Gillian is $200.

If your pet requires a Core Vaccine booster after a negative Titre Test, then the following prices will be in addition to the above.

  • C3 -  $50

  • Canine Cough only - $50

  • F3 - $50

For puppies and kittens (<12 months of age) requiring a booster vaccine, we charge $125 (C3, C5 or F3).  This price includes a 30-minute consultation and health check with the Vet.

Desexing

The price of desexing includes a pre-anaesthetic blood test, intravenous fluids, pre- and intra-operative pain relief and take-home pain medication.

When comparing our prices with other Veterinary Clinics, please ask about pre-anaesthetic blood tests, intravenous fluids and pain relief (both pre and post-procedure) to get an accurate idea of the procedure's value.  It’s important to compare “apples with apples”.

We will not perform surgery on any female pet that is in heat or pregnant.

How much does a microchip cost?
    • Microchip with consultation $31
    • Microchip without consultation $62
  • How much does an Underwater Treadmill session cost?

Our underwater treadmill sessions are only available to patients of The Naked Vet who have had an initial assessment consultation for their condition and have an existing Chronic Illness Management Plan in place.

    • Casual session $70

    • 5-session package $325 (valid for six months from the date of purchase)

    • 10-session package $600 (valid for 12 months from the date of purchase)

The price includes a hydrobath for your pet before the session and a towel to dry after their session.

All sessions are a maximum of 30 minutes (including hydrobath time) and sometimes much shorter.  When a pet first starts hydrotherapy sessions, they usually need to “build up” to 20 minutes on the treadmill to avoid further injury or soreness.  Just think about going the gym yourself after a long break and going “flat-out” – you’ll either injure yourself or be so sore the next day you can’t walk!

How much does a Cold Laser Therapy Session cost?

Cold Laser Therapy sessions are only available to patients of The Naked Vet who have had an initial assessment consultation for their condition and have an existing Chronic Illness Management Plan in place.

Laser therapy sessions last between 5 and 30 minutes, depending on the severity of the condition and the number of areas being treated.

    • Casual sessions $15 per 5-minute block (or part thereof).

    • 1-hour (total) prepaid package sessions $12.50 per 5-minute block (or part thereof) - $150

    • 2-hour (total) prepaid package sessions $10 per 5-minute block (or part thereof) - $240

    At-home euthanasia  and private cremation

    • $395-$550 plus crematorium fees

    • This service is for clients who wish to have their pet cremated and their ashes returned home

    • The crematorium fees will vary depending on the crematorium and package your select for your pet but prices generally range from $300-$500

    • The collection of your pet by your chosen crematorium will typically be organised before our visit, and the crematorium staff usually arrive just after us to take care of your pet’s final journey.

    • The choice of a crematorium is intensely personal, and deciding what to do for your pet can be difficult.  We recommend looking at several crematoriums and their packages before making a decision.
