We tailor our parasite prevention recommendations to the individual and can help you decide the safest preventative protocol for ticks, fleas, mites, intestinal worms and heartworms for your pet.

The parasite prevention we recommend for your pet will be based on evaluating their lifestyle, overall health and the safety margin of the products available.

While we are a holistic clinic, we also believe in evidence-based medicine.  For this reason, we only recommend using pesticide-based preventatives for healthy pets for heartworm, as they are the only proven prevention method.  For other parasites, there may be the option of using a pharmaceutical preventative or a natural alternative.
