End-of-Life Services

Quality of Life Assessments, Palliative Care and Euthanasia

Our mobile end-of-life services can help you maintain your pet’s quality of life until you decide they are ready to be humanely euthanised.

We offer the following in-home options:

Quality of life assessments
  • By taking the time to talk to you about your pet’s condition and examining them thoroughly, we can give you objective guidance and support at a challenging time.

  • We encourage all owners with a pet suffering a chronic or terminal illness affecting their quality of life to regularly perform an objective assessment of their pet’s quality of life using one of these recommended scales.  Quality-of-Life.pdf

OR How Do I Know When it’s Time?

Palliative care
  • During this stage, we can provide various services, such as pain management and nutritional support, to help ease your pet’s journey.

  • We can also help you by listening to your concerns when you need someone to talk to and can put you in touch with a Grief Counsellor if you would like this service.

  • We can help you recognise when it’s time and also assist you in considering the practical aspects of your pet’s final journey, such as whether you want to bury them at home or have them cremated.

Euthanasia
  • You can let your pet go and end their life in a familiar, comfortable, intimate and compassionate environment.

  • Our at-home euthanasia service includes ongoing emotional support for our Clients:

    • To help you start your grieving journey, our euthanasia packages include one telehealth grief counselling session.  These sessions are conducted by Mr David Cumming, who is a life coach and facilitator from Mind MySelf and is currently completing his Masters of Counselling.  To find out more about David, please feel free to visit his website https://www.mindmyself.net/home

    • We will give you a copy of our Pet Grief Journal to help you celebrate your pet's life and start coming to terms with your loss.

    • We have a once-a-month morning tea for Clients processing the loss of their Pet.  Sometimes, talking to others experiencing similar emotions can help us find peace.
